I will provide hands-on instruction and personalized attention throughout the class to learn the fundamental techniques of wheel-thrown pottery. Each class is customized to your level of experience.

We’ll explore centering, pulling, shaping, and manipulating clay on a spinning wheel. Learn how to control the speed and pressure of the wheel to create different forms and textures, unlocking endless possibilities for your creations.

For groups of 3 or more, you will also explore the basics in hand-building pottery. You will create pinch pots and abstract forms.

No matter your skill level, this introductory class is designed to nurture your creativity and build a solid foundation in pottery. As you explore various wheel-throwing techniques, I will share valuable insights, tips, and tricks to enhance your craftsmanship.

At the end of this personal two-hour journey, you'll walk away with more than just newfound knowledge. You'll carry the inspiration to continue your pottery adventure and turn lumps of clay into exquisite vessels, bowls, and other functional art pieces.
